September 2009 — First sentencing.
- Minghui.org, “Additional Persecution News from China – September 11, 2009” (September 22, 2009): Reports that Ms. Zhang Xiufang of Dongfeng County was arrested on May 28, 2009 for telling people about Falun Gong and held at the Dongfeng County Detention Center. (The December 2024 report gives the subsequent details: three-year sentence on September 8, 2009; admission to Jilin Province Women’s Prison on October 13, 2009.)
Evidence notes. The Issue 131 roster places 张秀芳 in its “sentenced 7 years” list alongside other Liaoyuan-area practitioners (including 谷久梅 and 梁桂娟, independently confirmed as Longshan District Court 7-year sentences in April 2024) — consistent with this case. No official court judgment or state-media record of the December 2024 sentence has been located. The appeal outcome is unknown.
