Zhu Deyan (朱德艳) — Media Profile & Archive

This archive preserves the source record behind the Zhu Deyan (朱德艳) profile: Minghui reporting on the August 2024 arrest and the 2025 three-year sentence, plus records of the 2011 and 2017–2018 incidents, with provenance, conflicts, and evidentiary limits noted. Sources are graded; allegations remain attributed rather than stated as fact.

Minghui.org — “Six Jilin Residents Sentenced to Prison for Practicing Falun Gong” (February 19, 2025)

(Opened and read in full: https://en.minghui.org/html/articles/2025/2/19/225548.html). The core case report: six Dongfeng County, Jilin residents — Liu Dianzhu, Dong Yufeng, Dong Yuqin, Yu Liqiu, Yu Ping, and Zhu Deyan — each sentenced to 3 years and fined 10,000 yuan; arrested August 8, 2024 while studying Falun Gong teachings at a private home; homes raided; held at the Liaoyuan City Detention Center; tried at the Longshan District Court and convicted; Liu, Dong Yufeng, and Dong Yuqin later released on medical parole. It also records her past persecution: arrested at home September 13, 2011 (police beat her and she fainted; taken to a brainwashing center); arrested again October 28, 2017 while distributing materials; sentenced in September 2018 by the Dongfeng County Court to 16 months; served at the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated source; verified (opened and read) — its characterization of the proceedings is the source’s.

Minghui.org — “Reported in February 2025: 68 Falun Gong Practitioners Sentenced to Prison” (sentencing list, PDF)

(Opened and read in full: http://en.minghui.org/u/files/2025/0530/2025_Feb_reported_sentencing.pdf). The sentencing-list entry reads: “#40 朱德艳 Zhu Deyan — Jilin, Liaoyuan — 2025, Jan — 3 years — ¥10,000 fine” — corroborating the sentence, location, and fine, and confirming the Chinese characters of her name. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated statistics document; verified (opened and read).

Minghui.org — “Additional Persecution News from China – August 12, 2024” (August 21, 2024)

(Opened and read in full: http://en.Minghui.org/html/articles/2024/8/21/219611.html). The arrest record: eight practitioners arrested in Dongfeng County on August 8, 2024, including Zhu Deyan; all homes ransacked; Zhu placed under criminal arrest. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated source; verified (opened and read).

Minghui.org — “Additional Persecution News from China – November 25, 2018” (December 12, 2018)

(Opened and read in full: http://www.en.minghui.org/html/articles/2018/12/12/173598.html). The prior-case record: Ms. Zhu Deyan, Ms. Yu Liqiu, and Ms. Ha Jingbo sentenced to 18 months; Zhu and Yu taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. Two notes: the item header mislabels Liaoyuan as “Liaoning Province” (Liaoyuan is in Jilin — the February 2025 article correctly says Jilin), and the 18-month figure conflicts with the February 2025 retrospective’s 16 months — an unresolved minor conflict recorded here. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated source; verified (opened and read).

Clearharmony.net — “Dongfeng County Police in Jilin Province Stun Ms. Zhu Deyan with an Electric Baton and Steal Her Belongings” (circa September 2011)

(From search result: https://en.clearharmony.net/articles/a56976-Dongfeng-County-Police-in-Jilin-Province-Stun-Ms-Zhu-Deyan-with-an-Electric-Baton-and-Steal-Her-Belongings.html). The 2011 incident: police broke into her home in Dongfeng County, Jilin, on September 14, 2011 (after a September 13 evening planning meeting), stunned her twice with an electric baton, and took her belongings — consistent with the February 2025 article’s account of the September 13, 2011 home arrest. Not opened in full this run; recorded as corroboration of the 2011 detention. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated source; verified-related (from search result).

Minghui.org — “Persecution News – December 8, 2024” (December 21, 2024)

(Found in search: https://en.minghui.org/html/articles/2024/12/21/222164.html). The search-result snippet records Yu Liqiu, Zhu Deyan, and Yu Ping as arrested August 8, 2024 and “detained since” — consistent with the items above. Not opened this run; corroboration only. Source grade: Falun Gong-affiliated source; found, not opened.

维权网 — August 2026 monthly report, Issue 131 (August 31, 2026)

维权网《中国大陆在押政治犯、良心犯月度报告(2026年8月31日)第131期(共1638人), mirrored in English and Chinese. Lists 朱德艳 / “Zhu Deyan” in the “Sentenced to 3 years, 110 people” band. The report supplies no biographical detail beyond the sentence and custody status; it is the source for her classification as in custody as of August 2026. Source grade: monitoring organization; single-source roster fact.

Source conflicts and limitations

All case sources are Falun Gong-affiliated; no second independent media or official record was located, so all case facts carry that attribution. Two conflicts are disclosed: the 2018 sentence length (18 months per the November 2018 Minghui report vs. 16 months per the February 2025 retrospective — unresolved), and the December 2018 Minghui item’s header error placing Liaoyuan in “Liaoning Province.” The post-sentencing prison facility is not named in any source — none is inferred — and no inference is drawn from the medical parole of three co-defendants. The 3-year term was reported in January–February 2025; no end date is computed — credit for time served is not documented. The historical continuity is documented as the SAME person (name + Dongfeng County/Liaoyuan, Jilin + Falun Gong + recurring co-defendant Yu Liqiu). Wrong-person matches excluded: Zhu Yufu (朱虞夫 — China Democracy Party founder), the Pastor Zhu of the Hubei Seventh-day Adventist case, and the 1994 Amnesty “Zhu” record.
