The case

According to Minghui, she was secretly sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment in either April or May 2022. The family learned of the sentence only when police, while picking her up from the Mabian Detention Center to take her to a local prison, told the detention center she had been sentenced to eight years. Her family has never received any notice about her case.
Earlier targeting
Minghui reports that she has been repeatedly targeted since 1999 and had already spent 15 years incarcerated for practicing Falun Gong: first arrested in October 1999 when she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong (detained 15 days, then sentenced to three years), followed by two more prison terms of six years each in 2003 and 2010.
