The Rights Defense Network’s (维权网) monthly political-prisoners report (Issue 131, August 31, 2026) lists him in its 3-year-4-month-sentence band, confirming he remains in custody serving his term as of that date.
The case
According to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Fu — described as a 50-year-old villager of Luocheng Subdistrict in Shouguang — was seized at his home on August 26, 2025, together with two other local Falun Gong practitioners: Li Shengxing (李升星), 65, a retired senior teacher of Shouguang No.1 Middle School, and Sun Fumei (孙福梅), 58, a retired senior teacher of the Weifang Institute of Technology. The seizure was carried out by the domestic-security brigade of the Shouguang Public Security Bureau together with local police-station officers. Mr. Fu and Mr. Li were taken to the Shouguang Detention Center; Ms. Sun was taken to the Weifang Detention Center. The Shouguang Court tried the three on the morning of January 22, 2026, barring family members from the courtroom. On February 13, 2026, the court sentenced Mr. Fu to three years and four months in prison with a 40,000-yuan fine, Mr. Li to three years and six months with a 42,000-yuan fine, and Ms. Sun to four years with a 48,000-yuan fine. Mr. Li and Ms. Sun appealed to the Weifang Intermediate Court; no appeal by Mr. Fu is mentioned, and no court document for the judgment has been found.
