Deng Guangying (邓光英) — Political Prisoner Profile

Deng Guangying (邓光英) is a petitioner and rights defender from the outer suburbs of Chongqing, held in a psychiatric facility without charge or sentence since 2016.

According to the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) Prisoners of Conscience database, Deng was seized on October 21, 2016, by officers of the Zhujiadi police station in Beijing’s Fengtai District, and has since been held at the Hechuan District Mental Health Center in Chongqing. Her family has received no detention notice. No charge has been made public and no sentence has been imposed.

In February 2021, fellow Chongqing rights defenders Liu Gaosheng and He Chaozheng, along with Li Xuezhi and others, traveled to the Hechuan District Mental Health Center to visit Deng Guangying and fellow detainee Zhang Fen. Hospital staff refused the visit, stating that visits required government approval (reported by 民生观察 / Minsheng Watch, February 22, 2021).

Deng’s petitioning has focused on allegations of forced organ harvesting, which she says she witnessed and experienced. These are her claims as reported by the sources cited below; they are not independently verified findings.

The Rights Defense Network (维权网) monthly report on political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in custody in mainland China, Issue 131 (August 31, 2026), lists 邓光英 among those detained without sentence (羁押未判).
