Zhang Naijun (张乃君) is a woman from Anshan, Liaoning Province, reported to be a Falun Gong practitioner. She is listed by the Rights Defense Network (维权网) as a person of conscience detained without trial, in the Liaoning group of that listing, reported in custody as of August 31, 2026.
Detentions
In April 2017, Zhang was detained in Anshan’s Tiexi District after being reported for posting Falun Gong informational materials near the Xingsheng subdistrict area, according to Minghui, a Falun Gong–affiliated outlet that tracks detentions of practitioners. The report says she was detained on April 18, 2017, and her arrest was approved in May 2017 on suspicion of using a cult organization to undermine implementation of the law; she was held at the Anshan No. 1 Detention Center. She was released on bail in late 2017.
On July 30, 2019, Zhang and fellow practitioner Liu Lihua were detained near Guangming Street, Anshan, after speaking with passersby about Falun Gong, according to Minghui and the CHRD Prisoners of Conscience database record. Both women were sent to the Anshan No. 1 Detention Center that evening. On September 3, 2019, Zhang was tried at the Tiexi District Court in Anshan; her family hired a lawyer who entered a not-guilty plea, according to Minghui.
Status
No sentence has been reported. The CHRD database lists her charge as unknown and her current location as unknown, noting there has been no new information since the trial. The Rights Defense Network’s August 2026 listing places her in the detained-without-trial group.
