Zhang Yue (张越)
Zhang Yue (张越) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinkai Village, Weizigou Town (formerly Qingyang Township), Jiutai District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. He is reported to be in his thirties.
On July 15, 2024, Zhang Yue was detained together with his father, Zhang Guozhi, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. He was placed under criminal detention, then formally arrested and prosecuted, and was held at the Changchun City Detention Center while his case proceeded.
In early September 2025, a local court sentenced Zhang Yue to four years in prison. He was subsequently transferred to Jilin Prison in Jilin City to serve his sentence. The charge against him has not been publicly specified. His sentence is reported to run through July 14, 2028.

Background
Zhang Yue is a Falun Gong practitioner. According to reports from fellow practitioners, he was detained along with his father, Zhang Guozhi — also a Falun Gong practitioner — after the two distributed materials about the practice. Following criminal detention, Zhang Yue was formally arrested and indicted, and remained in the Changchun City Detention Center for over a year before sentencing.
