Zhao Yajing / 赵雅静 — Media Profile & Archive
Person profile: Zhao Yajing / 赵雅静
This archive preserves the documented media and organizational record of the case of Zhao Yajing (赵雅静), a vaccine-injury advocate from Shanxi province serving a two-year-and-nine-month sentence.
Case chronology
2021 — Illness onset. Zhao received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine in 2021, after which she developed progressive symptoms — fatigue, swollen and bleeding gums, fever, vision problems — and was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University on January 28, 2022. Her husband Wang Hongyi submitted materials to the Jinzhong CDC in July 2022; the November 2022 finding was “coincidental” (偶合), which the family rejects.
November 19, 2024 — Detention. While in Beijing for medical treatment, Zhao was summoned by the Yangqiao police station in Beijing’s Fengtai district after chatting in a WeChat group, then transferred back to Shanxi. On November 21, 2024, she was criminally detained by Qixian police and held at the Jinzhong city detention center.
February 27, 2025 — Formal arrest. The Qixian procuratorate approved her arrest on the charge of “picking quarrels and provoking troubles” (寻衅滋事罪).
April 11, 2025 — Trial and sentencing. The Qixian People’s Court sentenced Zhao to two years and nine months’ imprisonment, with the term running to August 20, 2027.
September 28, 2025 — Prison transfer. Zhao was transferred to the Taiyuan No. 3 Prison in Shanxi province to serve the remainder of her sentence.

Evidentiary limitations
The claim that vaccination caused Zhao’s leukemia comes from the subject and her family and has not been independently medically verified. The case-database entry’s intake timestamp (2024-12-11) predates some recorded events (2025), indicating the record was updated after initial entry; this is a record-keeping nuance, not a contradiction of the facts. No PRC official or state-media coverage of the case was found.
