Evidentiary notes
The available records do not specify the criminal charge or Mao’s current detention facility. The Minghui archive spells her name inconsistently across incidents (毛艳萍 / 毛滟萍 / 毛燕苹 / 毛燕平) — treated as spelling variants of the same Xupu practitioner, not as separate persons. The database record gives a February 27, 2025 detention while the Minghui archive last records an April 2024 detention before the May 2025 sentencing; multiple detentions over the years are documented, and the gap is noted rather than resolved.
