September 14, 2026 — Free China Movement (FCM) has launched an urgent global campaign to collect 100,000 messages of hope and solidarity for political prisoners by the end of 2026.
The campaign, Prisoners Are Not Forgotten, turns the Free China political-prisoner directory into a direct action center. Readers can choose a current prisoner, open that person’s profile, and leave a message in their own language.
Our goal: 100,000 messages before December 31, 2026. FCM is asking every reader not only to write one message, but to repost the campaign and ask others to do the same.
Messages may mark a birthday, Lunar New Year, Christmas & New Year, or simply be sent at any time. FCM reviews submissions for safety. Where a safe and verified channel is available, FCM will seek to transmit appropriate messages. Where a prisoner is disappeared, incommunicado, or their whereabouts are unknown, FCM will preserve messages and use them to keep the person’s name visible while seeking a safe and credible transmission channel.
Submitting a message does not mean it has been delivered. FCM distinguishes messages received, approved, included for sending, sent, and delivery confirmed.
Choose a prisoner. Write a message. Repost the campaign.
A prison wall can isolate a person. It must not erase that person from public memory. A disappearance must not become silence.

After submitting, readers can share the campaign through X, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp or a direct link. Sharing a private submitted message is never automatic; readers must explicitly choose to make their own message public.
100,000 messages. 100,000 reminders: you are not forgotten.
