自由中国运动就冒名“全体成员会议”与“董事会声明”作出澄清 — Recovered July 7, 2003 Statement

Historical recovery status: Verified Mirror Recovery. Original statement dated July 7, 2003; a contemporaneous copy was posted to the alt.chinese.text discussion system on July 8, 2003 and is preserved by Google Groups.

Recovered historical record

The statement, issued in the names of Free China Movement convenor Wang Xizhe and convenor/executive director Shengde Lian, denied that the organization had held a purported June 28 “all-members meeting” in New York, denied a claim that Shengde Lian had been removed from his executive position, and denied issuing a purported “Free China Movement Board Statement (Draft).”

The historical notice characterized the disputed Internet postings as unauthorized and stated that the organization reserved its rights regarding false attribution. This archive entry records what the dated statement itself asserted; it does not independently adjudicate the underlying organizational dispute.
