Yin Xu’an (尹旭安): Reported Enforced Disappearance and Unknown Health Status

Amnesty International and the Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) report that Chinese human-rights activist Yin Xu’an was taken into custody in Beijing on August 11, 2025, while seeking urgent medical treatment. Both organizations report that his family and supporters have received no information about him since then. His whereabouts, legal status, precise custody location, present health, and access to treatment remain unknown.

The organizations characterize the case as an enforced disappearance. That is their human-rights assessment, not a judicial finding in a publicly available court record. Before the reported disappearance, Amnesty documented serious hypertension, coronary heart disease, and renal-artery stenosis requiring specialist treatment. This record does not infer his current condition.
