1989 Participants: Help Preserve History and Truth

Participants, witnesses, relatives, journalists, photographers and custodians of historical material are invited to contribute memoirs and original evidence to the Free China research archive.

What you may submit

• Memoirs, diaries and letters
• Flyers, posters and organizational documents
• Photographs, negatives and captions
• Audio, video and interview recordings
• Contemporaneous notes, prison records and legal documents
• Corrections or additions to published accounts

Please include

• Your relationship to the event or material
• Approximate date, place and people depicted
• Who created or owns the item
• Whether you permit public identification
• Copyright and publication permission
• Any privacy, safety, family or embargo restrictions

No submission is automatically published. Originals enter restricted review for preservation, provenance, consent, rights, transcription, translation and comparison with other evidence. Unresolved disagreements are documented rather than erased.

For large, sensitive or high-resolution collections, email first so a secure transfer method can be arranged. Do not send information that could endanger someone without explaining the restriction.
