Prince Wong Ji-yuet (黃子悅) — Current Hong Kong 47 Political Prisoner

Prince Wong Ji-yuet (黃子悅) is a Hong Kong democracy activist and former Scholarism spokesperson imprisoned in the Hong Kong 47 case.

Background and case

Wong took part in the 2014 Umbrella Movement and later the 2019 anti-extradition protests. She was arrested over participation in the July 2020 unofficial democratic primary. Hong Kong Watch currently lists her in jail and records a 4-year 5-month sentence for conspiracy to commit subversion.

Appeal and current status

Wong’s sentence appeal was rejected by the Court of Appeal on February 23, 2026. Unlike the 11 defendants who later obtained a certificate/leave pathway on August 10, 2026, Wong was not part of that group. Current verified state: imprisoned. No projected release date is published from sentence length.
