Wang Juntao is a Chinese democracy activist and political organizer associated with reform and independent social-science networks in the 1980s. After the 1989 crackdown he was arrested, and in February 1991 he and Chen Ziming were sentenced to thirteen years in prison on charges connected to the protest movement. Near-contemporaneous human-rights records document imprisonment at Qincheng, serious health concerns, and his 1994 release on medical parole and departure for the United States. Later organizational roles are recorded by date and source.
