Wang Xizhe is a veteran Chinese democracy activist and political thinker associated with the Democracy Wall era. Contemporary reporting documents long imprisonment, renewed detention and surveillance in the 1990s, and his later exile. Free China Movement archival statements from 1998 identify him, source-specifically, as a spokesperson, press contact and Coordinating Director. Those titles are preserved with their dates rather than treated as timeless roles.
