樊金清 (Fan Jinqing) — a Falun Gong practitioner from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province (Nangang District), born in 1950.
Documented custody history: On September 22, 2020, she was arrested at a Harbin bus station by officers of the Qizheng Police Station (Nangang District) after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong; her home was searched and she was detained for five days before release. In July 2022 she was twice targeted again — harassed at home by officers of the Haxi Police Station on July 13, and arrested on July 26 at a bus station by officers of the Qingbin Police Station, whose officers then raided her home in the evening and took her 9-year-old granddaughter to the police station for interrogation. In April and May 2023, police and street-committee staff visited her home repeatedly to pressure her into signing a statement renouncing Falun Gong; she refused.
On June 14, 2023, she was arrested by the Domestic Security Office of the Nangang District Public Security Bureau and held at the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center. On November 17, 2023, her daughter received a call from the detention center saying that 樊金清 had been sentenced to three and a half years; the family was not told when or where the trial had taken place, and the charge has not been publicly documented (the CHRD database records the charge as unknown). Her sentence was reported as running through December 13, 2026. She appears in the Rights Defense Network (维权网) Issue 131 roster (August 31, 2026) among people reported in custody with a 3.5-year sentence.
Note on sources: the account of the 2020–2023 harassment and arrests comes from Minghui reporting; the arrest of June 2023, the 3.5-year sentence, and the unknown charge are additionally recorded in the CHRD Database of Prisoners of Conscience. The court name, the charge, and her current facility of imprisonment are not publicly documented.
