Gao Xiaoqi (高晓歧) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Nong’an County, Jilin Province, China. She appears in the Rights Defense Network (维权网) Issue 131 roster of reported current custody cases, dated August 31, 2026; the roster’s Chinese edition places her name among people reported to be serving nine-year sentences.
According to Minghui.org, a Falun Gong-affiliated publication, Gao was one of a group of practitioners from Nong’an County tried in a case arising from arrests on July 15, 2020. Minghui reported that the Dehui City Court sentenced her to nine years in prison on July 26, 2021.
Minghui reported that eight practitioners, including Gao, were tried at the Dehui City Court on April 9, 2021. Its reporting states that defense lawyers were prevented from reviewing case documents or representing the practitioners after being asked for documents showing that they did not practice Falun Gong. The defendants rejected court-appointed lawyers instructed to enter guilty pleas and represented themselves, pleading not guilty.
Later reporting described appeals to the Changchun City Intermediate Court. A December 2021 report said original verdicts in the group case were upheld without notice to defense lawyers or families, but Gao’s individual appeal outcome is not separately documented in the available reporting.
The identification of the roster entry “Gao Xiaoqi” with this Nong’an County case rests on the English-name match, the nine-year sentence, and the Chinese-character identification 高晓歧 in the roster’s Chinese edition. No court judgment text or official custody document for her case has been located. Current custody as reported by the August 31, 2026 roster is therefore presented as that source’s classification, not as an independently verified fact.
