Geng Jiqiu (耿继秋) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Da’an City, Jilin Province and a former employee of the Da’an City Plant Oil Factory. Falun Gong-community sources document repeated detention and prison terms dating to 2000.
Earlier cases
Minghui reports arrests in 2000, 2001 and 2002, including hunger-strike force-feeding and alleged torture. It reports that Geng later received a 13-year prison sentence and was transferred in 2003 to Heizuizi Women’s Prison, with release reported on December 31, 2011. Minghui describes approximately nine years served against the 13-year term; the discrepancy is not explained in the source record.
Minghui further reported that Geng was arrested again in 2017, later rearrested in August 2019, and secretly sentenced by Taonan City Court in July 2020 to three and a half years before transfer to Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
Current case
A July 13, 2026 notice from the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong reported that Geng had been arrested on June 3, 2025 in Da’an City while sharing Falun Gong materials, held at Baicheng City Detention Center, and later secretly sentenced by Da’an City Court to five years in prison with a 10,000-yuan fine. That latest sentence is single-source reporting and has not been independently confirmed.
Evidence limits
Detailed allegations of torture, force-feeding and medication are drawn from Falun Gong-community sources and remain attributed. No public court records were located, and no post-sentence prison placement for the 2026 case is established here.
