Gong Xiaolan (龚小兰), born in 1968, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Liuhe Town, Qichun County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. Monitoring sources report that she was sentenced in October 2023 to five years in prison.
2022 arrest and 2023 sentence
Minghui reports that Gong was arrested in mid-November 2022 after giving a Falun Gong brochure to a local resident. Reports differ by one day on the arrest date, giving November 15 or November 16. Officers from Shizi Town Police Station allegedly beat her during the arrest and searched her home. In October 2023, Minghui reported that she was sentenced to five years in prison; the formal charge, court details and post-sentencing facility were not reported.
Earlier history
Minghui reports that Gong and two other practitioners were detained on June 28, 2004 while distributing Falun Gong materials in Datong Town and alleges that police beat the women before taking them to Wuzhuang No. 1 Detention Center. It also reports a June 2014 arrest followed by a one-and-a-half-year term.
Status and evidence limits
Tenchu’s Prisoners of Conscience Data lists Gong as serving a five-year term and contains a November 15, 2027 release-date field. That database date is not treated here as independently confirmed. No official court record was located, and the post-sentencing detention location remains unknown.
