Gu Li (谷丽) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian’s Jinpu New Area in Liaoning Province. A prisoner-monitoring database records a three-year-six-month prison sentence in her current case, while Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists her among reported current-custody cases.
Earlier case
The Prisoners of Conscience Database records that Gu was detained on December 6, 2016 and sentenced on August 19, 2017 to four years in prison. It reports that she was held in Liaoning Women’s Prison and released on December 5, 2020. Allegations of mistreatment during that term remain attributed to the database’s underlying source reporting.
2025 case
The same database records a new detention on February 17, 2025 and a sentence of three years and six months with a 10,000-yuan fine. It carries a term-through date of August 16, 2028. The formal charge, sentencing court, trial dates and current prison facility are not established in the public record reviewed here.
