Han Yanwen / 韩燕文

Han Yanwen (韩燕文) is a woman from Beizhen City, Liaoning Province, reported to be a Falun Gong practitioner. Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists “Han Yanwen” in its two-year-sentence group.

Identity note

The roster gives the name only in romanized form. The Chinese form 韩燕文 is used here because several anchors converge: the exact pinyin match, the independently reported two-year sentence, the June 3, 2025 Beizhen arrest, and her identification in that report as the younger sister of Han Yanjie. The character linkage is strong but was not supplied directly by the roster.

2025 arrest and sentence

Minghui reports that Han Yanwen and her older sister Han Yanjie were among eight practitioners arrested in Beizhen City on June 3, 2025 during a wider Jinzhou-region operation. Police reportedly confiscated Falun Gong books and mobile phones. A November 2025 report states that Han Yanwen was sentenced to two years in prison. The criminal charge, sentencing court, sentence start date and current facility are not stated.

Earlier reported history

Minghui reports that Han Yanwen was arrested with her sister and mother in May 2000, went to Beijing to appeal in November 2000, and received a three-year term at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp beginning December 31, 2000. It also reports a June 25, 2016 home arrest followed by release on bail the same day. Alleged mistreatment during earlier detention remains source-attributed.

Status and evidence limits

The 2026 roster lists Han as a reported current-custody case, consistent with the reported two-year sentence. All detailed case reporting located comes from Minghui; no official court document or independent case report was found.
