He Hongjun (贺洪军)

He Hongjun (贺洪军) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, reported to be serving a three-year sentence in mainland China.

According to case records compiled by the Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) Prisoners of Conscience database, He was detained on May 11, 2024, together with his wife, fellow practitioner Fu Wenhui (付文辉), by officers of the Qianjin police station of the Chaoyang Public Security Bureau. The database states that the couple were subsequently detained and arrested by the bureau’s national-security division and the procuratorate, prosecuted, faced four trials, and were each reportedly sentenced to three years, with He’s term running to May 10, 2027. The formal charge and his detention location are not recorded in the available sources.

A May 10, 2025 report by Minghui, a Falun Gong–affiliated news outlet, describes the case as part of a group of five people — He, Fu, Lan Qingzhong (兰青中), Hu Xiuli (胡秀丽), and Tian Pengfei (田鹏飞) — prosecuted by the Shuangta District Procuratorate of Chaoyang. The report states that three trials were held in December 2024 and a fourth on January 22, 2025, at the Shuangta District Court, and that on April 23, 2025, the court notified the families that the trial was suspended without issuing a judgment. The later reported three-year sentence comes from the CHRD database record; proceedings after the suspension are not publicly documented.

An August 31, 2026 monthly report by the monitoring organization 维权网 (the Chinese-language network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders) lists He Hongjun among in-custody political and conscience prisoners sentenced to three years, consistent with the reported sentence above.

Not to be confused with 何洪亮 (He Hongliang) — a different person with a different surname character (何 vs 贺) and a different case (Henan) — nor with anyone surnamed 何 romanized “He.” His surname is 贺.
