Hu Bibo (胡碧波) is a resident of Macheng City, Hubei Province who is reported by Falun Gong-affiliated monitoring outlets to be a Falun Gong practitioner. She was about 48 and described as a factory worker in 2024 reporting.
2024 detention
Minghui reports that Hu and Fang Hongbing were taken into custody on May 29, 2024 after speaking with people about Falun Gong in Zhongyi Town. They were interrogated at the local police station and transferred the following day to a detention facility in Huanggang. Police searched their homes on May 31; the reporting states that no Falun Gong materials were found.
Fang was later released. Minghui and WOIPFG report that the Macheng City Procuratorate approved Hu’s arrest on July 1, 2024. Minghui reported in early July that Hu remained in detention and was facing prosecution.
Status and evidence limits
No trial, sentence or release record was located through September 2026. The last case-specific custody reporting located dates to July–August 2024, so this profile does not assert that Hu remains detained today.
