Hu Jinhui (胡金慧) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Linyi City, Shandong Province. Minghui reports that she was arrested in 2018 and sentenced in 2019 to nine years in prison.
2018–2019 case
Minghui reports that Hu was arrested at her home on September 29, 2018 during a group arrest. Her younger sister, Hu Jinping, who was visiting at the time, was also detained. Hu was tried on May 17, 2019, and Minghui later reported that the Lanshan District Court sentenced her to nine years in prison. Her sister received a shorter term.
The sources report that Hu was transferred to Shandong Province Women’s Prison around August 2019.
Later custody reporting
A January 2024 Minghui report stated that Hu remained in Shandong Province Women’s Prison and had been placed under a “strict management” regime since December 2022 after refusing to renounce Falun Gong. These detention-condition claims remain source-attributed.
