2020 arrest and prosecution

Minghui reports that Huo and his wife, Ding Yan, were arrested on April 8, 2020 in the hallway of their apartment building in Harbin’s Xiangfang District. The outlet reports that police searched their home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a laptop. Huo was later held at the Zhaozhou Detention Center in Daqing City.

A January 2021 Minghui report stated that Huo and six other practitioners were scheduled for trial in the Ranghulu District Court on December 29, 2020. The available reporting did not establish whether that scheduled hearing proceeded on that date.

Sentence and prison transfer

His wife received four years and two months. The outlet reported that the Daqing City Intermediate Court upheld the appealed verdicts on December 10, 2021.

Minghui reported that Huo and fellow practitioner Li Lizhuang were transferred to Hulan Prison on February 17, 2022.
