Jiang Changxian / 姜常仙

Jiang Changxian (姜常仙) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Hecheng District, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. Falun Gong-affiliated monitoring sources report that she was arrested in 2023 and sentenced in February 2025 to three years in prison.

Arrest and prosecution

Minghui and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong report that Jiang was detained in the autumn of 2023 together with Wu Fangming and Yin Qiuyang and held at the Huaihua City Detention Center. Their cases were handled by the Zhijiang County Procuratorate and Zhijiang County Court.

Hearings and sentence

Minghui reports that proceedings began in 2024, including an April 8 hearing and further court sessions in December. On February 13, 2025, according to Minghui, the Zhijiang County Court sentenced Jiang to three years in prison. Wu Fangming received four years and Yin Qiuyang three and a half years.

Appeal and prison transfer

Minghui reported that the three women appealed to the Huaihua City Intermediate Court. In April 2025, lawyers were reportedly told that no appeal hearing would be held and that written defense submissions could be filed instead. A later report stated that Jiang and the two co-defendants had been admitted to Hunan Province Women’s Prison by July 2025.

Status and evidence limits

Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 姜常仙 among reported in-custody prisoners in its three-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. No appeal ruling, sentence end date or official court judgment was located. Allegations about police mistreatment and courtroom conduct remain source-attributed to Minghui and defense accounts reported by that outlet.
