Jiang Jianzhong (蒋建忠), born in 1957, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Guiyang, Guizhou Province. Rights-monitoring records report that she was detained in April 2022 and sentenced in late July 2023 to four years and six months in prison plus a 20,000-yuan fine.
2022 detention and prosecution
The Prisoners of Conscience Database and Minghui report that Jiang was taken from her home on April 25, 2022 and that police searched the residence. The database records criminal detention beginning May 17, formal arrest on June 24, and indictment by the Nanming District Procuratorate on September 23, 2022.
Sentence and appeal
The database reports that the Guiyang Nanming District Court sentenced Jiang in late July 2023 to four years and six months in prison and a 20,000-yuan fine. The formal criminal charge is listed as unknown. It also records that Jiang appealed and that the second-instance court upheld the judgment.
Status and evidence limits
The database gives November 16, 2026 as the term endpoint but does not identify the prison where Jiang is held. Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 蒋建忠 among reported current prisoners as of August 31, 2026. No public judgment or official PRC case record was located.
Name note: some Minghui body text renders the name as 蒋建中, but the page title, prisoner database and Issue 131 consistently use 蒋建忠; that is the canonical form used here.
