Jiao Guichun (焦桂春) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Weihai City, Shandong Province. Minghui reports that she was arrested in 2021 and later sentenced to four years in prison.
2021–2023 case
Minghui reports that Jiao and fellow practitioner Wang Ce were arrested on June 19, 2021 after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong at a market in Wendeng. Their homes were searched and they were later released on bail pending further proceedings.
The outlet reports that the case was later transferred to the Rongcheng City Procuratorate and court. After a period away from home, Jiao returned and was turned in to authorities on March 2, 2023. She was taken to the Wendeng District Detention Center. Minghui subsequently reported that she had been sentenced to four years in prison.
Earlier reported detention history
Minghui also reports earlier detention episodes in 2009, 2010 and June 2021, including a two-year forced-labor term after a 2009 arrest. These accounts remain source-attributed.
