Jin Shuying (靳淑英) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Beijing’s Daxing District. Minghui reports that she was arrested in July 2022 and later sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
2022 arrest
Minghui reports that Jin was among practitioners detained in a Beijing police sweep in late July 2022. She and several other Daxing District residents were held at the Daxing District Detention Center after their arrests were approved in early September.
Sentence and corrected reporting
An April 2023 Minghui report initially stated that Jin had received a one-year sentence. A later December 2023 update reported that the families had been given inaccurate “light sentence” information and that Jin’s actual sentence was four years and six months with a 5,000-yuan fine. The later corrected figure is used here, while the earlier report is preserved as part of the documentary history.
Status and evidence limits
Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists 靳淑英 among reported current prisoners in its four-years-six-months group as of August 31, 2026. Her age, occupation, exact sentencing date and post-detention prison placement are not established in the sources reviewed. This record uses the surname 靳, not 金, and is not merged with a separate 2005 same-romanization case.
