Kang Yuchun was a Beijing physician associated with pro-democracy and independent-labor organizing. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Human Rights in China, and contemporary reporting independently document his arrest in 1992 and his sentencing on 16 December 1994 to an aggregate 17-year prison term on counterrevolutionary charges.
