Li Fangfang (李方芳) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Shenyang, Liaoning Province. Monitoring records report that she was detained in August 2022 and sentenced in January 2023 to five years and six months in prison.
Background
The CHRD Prisoners of Conscience database identifies Li as born in 1973, a graduate of Shenyang University’s Foreign Languages Department, and a former operations manager for McDonald’s in Northeast China.
2022–2023 case
Minghui reports that Li was detained on August 3, 2022 and transferred the next day to the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center. In January 2023, the Shenyang Economic Development Zone Court tried her case. Late that month she was sentenced to five years and six months in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. The charge is not stated in the reviewed sources. Li appealed; Minghui reports that the Shenyang Intermediate Court upheld the sentence.
