Li Jinlan / 李金兰

Li Jinlan (李金兰) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province who has twice been sentenced to prison in cases reported by Minghui.

Earlier imprisonment

A contemporaneous 2009 Minghui report states that Li and her son were arrested on August 18, 2009 in Nanfeng Town, Fengkai County. Li was later sentenced on October 20, 2009 to five years in prison and was held at Guangdong Province Women’s Prison. A later 2022 retrospective gives August 18, 2008 for that arrest; the conflict remains unresolved. The sentencing date is consistent across the reports.

2020–2021 case

Minghui reports that Li was recorded by surveillance equipment distributing Falun Gong informational materials on December 12, 2020 and arrested on December 29. She was held at the Duanzhou District Detention Center. The Duanzhou District Procuratorate approved her arrest on February 1, 2021, and the Deqing County Court tried her on August 27.

The outlet reports that Li was sentenced in October 2021 to six years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. The Zhaoqing City Intermediate Court rejected her appeal on December 27, 2021.

Status and evidence limits

No post-2022 custody update, current prison assignment, release report, official judgment or PRC government account was located. The latest detailed reporting described Li as serving the six-year term; current status beyond that dated evidence is therefore not independently asserted.
