In April 2009 she was sentenced to five years, which she served in the Yunnan No. 2 Women’s Prison. Detained again in 2017, she was sentenced to four years around the 2018 New Year. Before the latest six-year sentence, she had spent a total of thirteen years in prison.

A note on a different person with the same name

A different person named 李群 — a male member of the Century New City Church in Kunming, Yunnan, detained in April 2026 in connection with that congregation’s case and not yet sentenced — is a separate individual. He is not connected to the Wenshan case described on this page.
