Li Ruihua (李瑞华; also recorded as 李瑞花) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qingyang City, Gansu Province. Monitoring records report that she was detained again in 2025 and sentenced to five years in prison.
Identity and earlier history
Minghui identifies Li Ruihua (李瑞华) as a Qingyang resident who began practicing Falun Gong in 1996. A CHRD prisoner database record uses the character variant 李瑞花 but matches the same birth-year, city, practice-start year and prior detention history. The two forms are therefore preserved as documented variants rather than silently normalized.
Minghui reports earlier detention beginning after 1999, including a one-year forced-labor term and a three-year prison sentence. Those historical accounts remain source-attributed.
2024–2025 case
The CHRD database reports that Li was arrested in Zhenyuan County on August 20, 2024 and released on bail after a detention center refused admission following a physical examination. It reports that she was taken back into custody on July 18, 2025, tried by the Zhenyuan County Court, and that her family later learned she had received a five-year sentence. The formal criminal charge and detention location are listed as unknown.
Status and evidence limits
The CHRD database gives July 17, 2030 as the term endpoint. Rights Defense Network Issue 131 lists Li Ruihua among reported current prisoners in its five-year-sentence group as of August 31, 2026. The database’s 李瑞花 form and Minghui’s 李瑞华 form remain both documented; no independent official record resolves the character variation.
