Issue 131 lists “Li Yinxiu” in the Guangdong group of people classified as detained without trial, immediately after “Liang Ziliang.” The roster provides no detention date, charge, facility, biography, or Chinese characters for the name.
2018 Heshan case
The U.S. State Department’s 2018 International Religious Freedom report, citing ChinaAid, records the arrest of Baptist preacher Liang Ziliang and his wife Li Yinxiu in Heshan, Guangdong, after distributing Christian brochures and carrying anti-abortion banners in a park. The report says they were held for several days.

ChinaAid described the couple as leaders of the Shaping Street Baptist Church in Heshan and stated that their situation then remained unclear.
Evidentiary limits
The current detention is documented only by the August 2026 roster. Its start date, charge, and facility are unknown, and there is no basis to claim continuous detention from 2018. The underlying 2018 reporting largely traces to ChinaAid. Chinese characters for Li Yinxiu’s name remain unverified and are intentionally omitted.
