Lin Zhongying (林忠英)

Lin Zhongying (林忠英) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Chongqing’s Banan District who has been imprisoned twice in recent years.

Minghui reports that Lin was arrested on September 17, 2017 and later sentenced by the Jiangbei District Court to two and a half years in prison plus a 3,000-yuan fine. Her appeal was reportedly rejected by the Chongqing No. 1 Intermediate Court in April 2019, and she was taken to Chongqing Women’s Prison in June 2019.

After her release, Minghui reported continued pressure involving retirement benefits and enforcement of the earlier fine.

On January 3, 2025, Lin was arrested again by officers of the Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division. Minghui reports that after a June 26, 2025 hearing, the Jiangbei District Court sentenced her to two years and three months in prison. She appealed; a hearing was scheduled for September 17, 2025, but no appeal outcome was located.

In December 2025, Minghui reported that Lin had been admitted to Chongqing Women’s Prison in November and alleged mistreatment and restrictions on family visits and commissary deposits. Those treatment claims remain source-attributed.
