Liu Jialan (刘甲兰) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiaohe City, Jilin Province. Minghui reports that she was sentenced to five and a half years in prison in a case involving fellow practitioners Zhu Minglan and Shan Fulian.
According to Minghui, Liu, Zhu, and Shan were detained together in April 2020 and released days later. Police searched the homes of Zhu and Liu again in January 2021, and the women were detained again on March 2, 2021. Minghui reports that they were held at Jilin City Detention Center and that the Shulan City Court conducted a hearing in July 2021 without notifying their families.
Minghui reports that family members learned in January 2022 that sentences had been imposed and received written verdicts on February 19, 2022. The outlet gives Liu’s sentence as five and a half years. Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, places 刘甲兰 in its five-year-six-month sentence group, matching that duration.
Police-treatment and hearing-procedure allegations in the case narrative come from Minghui and remain source-attributed. No official court record or criminal charge was located.
Status: listed by Rights Defense Network as serving a five-year-six-month sentence as of August 31, 2026. No release date is inferred.
