Liu Xiaohua (刘晓华) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. Minghui reported her as 59 years old in March 2024.
Minghui reports that Liu was arrested at home on February 19, 2023 during a group police operation involving the Changchun City Police Department and the Erdao District Domestic Security Office.
By early March 2024, according to Minghui, Liu’s family had learned that she had been admitted to Jilin Province Women’s Prison to serve a term reported as five and a half years. A separate Minghui digest gives the term as five years and six months.
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, places 刘晓华 in a group labeled five years and five months. The one-month variance between that roster and Minghui’s 5½-year / 5-year-6-month reporting remains unresolved.
Minghui also reports an earlier case beginning with a March 4, 2011 arrest in Tumen City. Liu stood trial at the Tumen City Court on August 30, 2011 and was later reported sentenced to four years in prison. The outlet published Liu’s allegations of torture during interrogation and abuse in prison; those claims remain source-attributed.
