2021–2022 — arrest and secret hearing
Minghui reports Liu’s November 27, 2021 arrest while seeking job assistance and a July 13, 2022 hearing held without advance notice to her family or lawyer. A 2026 retrospective reports a one-year sentence and 2,000-yuan fine in that case.
2024 — new arrest and sentence
Minghui’s 2026 retrospective reports an April 14, 2024 arrest and a December 30 sentence of four years and six months plus a 6,000-yuan fine by the Linghai City Court.
Evidence limits
No official judgment was located for any of the cases. The current place of detention, current condition, and release date are unknown. Accounts differ on whether Liu began practicing Falun Gong in 1996 or September 1997. Chinese name characters remain unverified and are not supplied here.
