Lu Yongliang (卢永良)

Lu Yongliang (卢永良), born in 1958, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Yueyang City, Hunan Province.

According to Rights Defense Network, Lu was detained at home on May 27, 2019 while reading Falun Gong writings with several other practitioners. The outlet reports that police searched his home and seized a computer, printer, disc burner, books, and other materials.

Rights Defense Network reports that Lu was criminally detained, arrested, and prosecuted, and that on July 20, 2020 the Pingjiang County Court sentenced him to four years in prison and fined him 5,000 yuan. The report gives the term as running from May 27, 2019 through May 26, 2023.

Status conflict: despite that stated May 2023 term endpoint, Rights Defense Network continued to list 卢永良 in its monthly current-prisoner rosters through Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, where he remains in the four-year-sentence group. No report of a new arrest, new prosecution, new sentence, or release after May 2023 was located.

Status: unknown. The 2020 case report’s term endpoint and the later roster continuity conflict. This profile does not infer either release in 2023 or continued imprisonment under an undocumented new case.
