Luan Qingling (栾庆玲) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan City, Shandong Province, in mainland China. Born in 1967, she is currently serving a four-and-a-half-year prison sentence for her religious belief.
Luan is from Tuanpozi Village, Tieche Township, in Jinan’s Laiwu District. She began practicing Falun Gong years ago, and after the authorities began suppressing Falun Gong in July 1999, she continued her practice and was repeatedly targeted — her home was raided and she was detained and mistreated multiple times, according to the case record.
On July 8, 2025, Luan was arrested by more than ten plainclothes agents while walking on Fengxiang Road in the Laiwu District. She was held at the Jinan City Detention Center, then criminally detained, formally arrested, and prosecuted. On February 10, 2026, she was sentenced to four years and six months’ imprisonment; the specific charge has not been publicly reported. She was subsequently transferred to the 13th ward of the Shandong Provincial Women’s Prison. Her sentence runs through January 7, 2030.
