Luan Yanping (栾艳萍), a woman in her fifties from Longkou City, Shandong Province, is a Falun Gong practitioner.
Minghui and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) report that Luan was arrested on July 17, 2025 at the Xufudawang Community Fair with fellow practitioners Cui Xiuju and Li Yufang. The three women were taken to the Yantai City Detention Center, and formal arrest warrants were issued in August 2025.
The case was transferred to the Longkou City Procuratorate in August 2025 and later filed with the Longkou City Court. The court tried Luan, Cui, and Li on January 23, 2026.
Minghui reports that on March 13, 2026, Luan was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. Cui Xiuju received the same sentence and fine; Li Yufang received two years and six months and a 10,000-yuan fine. The outlet reported that all three appealed.
