Luo Changyun (罗长云) is a retired teacher and Falun Gong practitioner from Ankang City, Shaanxi Province.
Minghui reports that Luo had previously served three forced-labor terms totaling six and a half years between 2000 and 2007 and a five-year prison term imposed in 2008. Those historical detention and mistreatment accounts remain source-attributed.
Her most recent case began after she mailed letters in January 2022 to local social-security and government offices seeking reinstatement of her pension and asking officials to stop targeting her for her Falun Gong practice. She was arrested on May 30, 2022.
Minghui reports that the Hanbin District Court tried Luo on June 2, 2023 and sentenced her on October 27, 2023 to six years in prison and a 50,000-yuan fine. She was admitted to Shaanxi Province Women’s Prison on March 21, 2024 after losing her appeal.
