Luo Jiangying (罗江英) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, who previously worked as a nurse at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
Minghui reports that Luo was arrested on March 30, 2020 after speaking with people at a farmers’ market. Police searched her home that evening and she was held at the Suixi Detention Center.
According to Minghui, the Chikan District Court tried Luo in October 2020. The outlet reports that she rejected a court-appointed lawyer and defended herself. In early February 2021, the court sentenced her to seven years and six months in prison.
Minghui also reports earlier detention beginning around 2000, including two years at the Chatou Women’s Forced Labor Camp, a year in a brainwashing center after a 2004 trip to Beijing, and a three-year prison term following an arrest in 2008. A 2011 Minghui list independently identifies Luo Jiangying as an employee of Zhongshan Third Hospital in Guangzhou who was arrested in August 2008, supporting continuity of identity.
Rights Defense Network Issue 131, dated August 31, 2026, lists 罗江英 in its seven-year-six-month sentence group.
Status: listed as in custody as of August 31, 2026. The exact sentencing date, formal criminal charge, prison placement, and release date were not located and are not inferred.
