Qu Xing (曲兴), born in 1989 in Chengdu, Sichuan, is a Falun Gong practitioner reported by Chinese Human Rights Defenders and Minghui to have received an eight-year prison sentence in February 2023.
According to those sources, police from Chengdu’s Xiaojiahe station detained Qu on June 8, 2021 near his rented home and searched the residence. His mother, Xu Yanping (徐艳平), was taken into custody the same day.
His case was heard on February 15, 2023 at the Chengdu High-Tech Zone Court’s Criminal Court No. 3. Minghui’s family-sourced reporting says relatives were refused entry and his mother’s request to act as a family defender was rejected. CHRD and Minghui report an eight-year sentence and a 30,000-yuan fine.
