Identity and classification
Shi Jun (施军) is documented in historical sources as an overseas China Democracy Party (CDP) organizer associated with the party’s North American organization. This profile distinguishes him from unrelated people with the same Romanized or Chinese name.
Documented political activity
A later account published by the China Democracy Justice Party reproduces an account attributed to veteran CDP figure Xu Wenli concerning Shi Jun’s entry into the China Democracy Party. According to that account, after the CDP Beijing–Tianjin branch was formally established on 9 November 1998, Shi contacted the branch and Xu from the United States and applied to join. The account says he completed the party oath by telephone. The same source also alleges that Xu subsequently designated Shi as a North American representative and that Shi organized a North American CDP structure.
These organizational details are retained with explicit source attribution because the surviving online account is partisan and retrospective. Independent primary documentation of the precise appointment and organizational title remains a research priority.
Immigration-related controversy
The same retrospective source states that Shi later faced U.S. immigration proceedings and detention after an asylum claim was denied. Because this account is polemical and the underlying immigration-court record has not yet been independently recovered for this profile, FreeChina does not treat the source’s accusations concerning asylum-related conduct as independently established fact.
Current status
RESEARCH PENDING. Current residence, organizational role, and immigration status have not been established from sufficiently reliable fresh evidence.
Core viewpoints
RESEARCH PENDING. No sufficiently reliable first-person corpus has yet been verified to characterize Shi Jun’s substantive political viewpoints beyond documented organizational participation.
Representative writings and quotations
RESEARCH PENDING. No representative first-person writing or quotation has yet passed the verification gate.
Evidence notes
The durable FreeChina P1 Batch 12 research package identifies Shi Jun as a canonical human requiring a profile. Public-source research located a retrospective China Democracy Justice Party article that quotes an account attributed to Xu Wenli about Shi’s 1998 CDP entry and subsequent North American role. Claims from that article are therefore attributed rather than silently converted into FreeChina findings.
