Minghui reports that Song was arrested in Tumen City in January 2012 while distributing Falun Gong materials, detained again in July 2014 with five other practitioners, and arrested in Changchun in August 2018. The outlet later reported workplace pressure in Jiutai in December 2020 to sign a statement renouncing Falun Gong.
