Sun Jingna (孙景娜) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Tonghua City, Jilin Province, born around 1973. She is married to fellow practitioner Xu Deming. In March 2024 she was arrested alongside her husband and three other practitioners; according to the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, both Sun and her husband were later sentenced to five years in prison, and in December 2024 the five were secretly transferred to different prisons.
On March 1, 2024, police from the Dongchang District Public Security Bureau in Tonghua arrested Sun Jingna, Xu Deming, Luo Xizhen, Qu Xiaofei, and Liu Xiaoyan. All five were held at the Tonghua City Detention Center, and their arrests were formally approved by the Liuhe County Procuratorate around April 20, 2024.
According to reports from Minghui.org and the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, the Liuhe County Court tried the five in a closed hearing without notifying their families. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong reports that Sun Jingna and Xu Deming each received five-year sentences; Qu Xiaofei and Luo Xizhen received three years and six months; Liu Xiaoyan received two years.
The same organization reported in January 2025 that in mid-December 2024, Xu Deming and the other four were transferred to different prisons and that their current whereabouts were unknown. No public record of Sun Jingna’s release has been found; her status after that report is unverified.
