Tao Yonghong (陶永红) is a Falun Gong practitioner from Maoming City, Guangdong Province, and a retired employee of Sinopec’s Maoming branch. Rights-monitoring sources report that she was sentenced on December 1, 2025 to four years and six months in prison and fined 25,000 yuan.
According to WOIPFG and Minghui, Tao was arrested on December 13, 2023 while visiting her elderly mother, together with fellow practitioner Wang Ying. The reports say both women were held at the Maoming No. 1 Detention Center and that the case was later transferred through the Maonan District Procuratorate to the Maonan District Court.
Minghui reports that Tao and Wang were tried on June 25, 2025 and sentenced on December 1, 2025 to four years and six months each, with 25,000-yuan fines. Rights Defense Network / 维权网 Issue 131 dated August 31, 2026 lists 陶永红 / Tao Yonghong in the four-years-and-six-months fixed-term subgroup.
